Visited Ft. Cronkite this weekend. It’s a WWII gunnery battery on the coast of San Francisco. My dad was stationed here in the Army for a couple of years, 1936-1938. He talked about watching them build the GoldenGate bridge; now I know what a great view he had!
The music you hear is from a man who was there practicing native American flute. He said people often come here to practice singing or playing an instrument because of the incredible acoustics the battery provides. You can see his flute bag hanging in the hallway in one clip.
